Open Table – on hiatus

What a joy it has been! In May we launched Open Table to bring good food to people in the Stockbridge area, supporting a cherished local business, and offering a chance for volunteers to get involved. In partnership with our friends at The Lost Lamb, more than 1,000 delightful meals went out into the community. As the summer months provide other opportunities for people to get out and as The Lost Lamb is thriving with people lining up for their goodies, we have decided to pause Open Table. Should the fall/winter result in another time of need, we will see if we can get it going again and will let you know.
Nearly two-thirds of all meals sent out in this program went at no charge. We are grateful to the many people who offered donations to offset costs. As we wind down the program, a budget shortfall remains. To help, you may send a check with the memo “Open Table” to First Congregational Church, PO Box 825, Stockbridge, MA 01262
