Our Board of Mission & Action is looking to deepen the church’s partnership with Berkshire Co-Act (Community Organizing for Action) and many opportunities to volunteer are available.  Co-Act develops grassroots initiatives guided by collaboration and community needs, supporting sustainability, coordinating collaborative action, and tapping the power of community.
Co-Act will hold a silent Auction on October 10th at the Whitney in Pittsfield to raise funds for a residence for women and children. They are in need of donated items for the auction, and volunteers to help the evening of the event. Please call Belle O’Brien at Co-Act (413-442-3137) if you are interested in helping or would like to purchase a ticket.
Mission & Action will also make a donation to Co-Act of $20/hour for every  hour that a member of our congregation volunteers with one of Co-Act’s many programs.
