This Sunday at 8:30AM on WSBS’s Religious Roundable, Pastor Brent will host award-winning documentary filmmaker Martin Doblmier to discuss the life of Reinhold Niebuhr. Doblmier, founder of Journey Films and director of the acclaimed documentary Bonhoeffer, is currently working on his latest film, An American Conscience: the Reinhold Niebuhr Story, for PBS.
Reinhold Neibuhr, one of the foremost American theologians of the 20th century (and known to many as the author of the Serenity Prayer), spent his final years as a member of the First Congregational Church of the United Church of Christ in Stockbridge. Brent and Martin’s conversation will explore Niebuhr’s importance to Christian thinking in the 20th century, and why his work still contains critical insights for Christians today.
