Dear Church Family,
By the time you receive this, we will be closer to Christmas looking forward than we are to Labor Day looking backward. Even closer to the moment you are reading this letter is the beginning of Advent. Take a deep breath, relax; no better yet get excited. I believe that there has never been a better or perhaps more important time for Advent.
The first Advent came to a people who were tired, weary, worn out, and run down. Sound familiar? The first Advent came to a people buffeted by events beyond their control and so hungry for a new beginning. Is that where you are? I know I am.
