Yes, God so loves the world as to give the only begotten one as whoever believes may not die but have eternal life. God sent the only begotten into the world not to condemn the world but that through the only begotten the whole world might be saved. John 3:16-17 Inclusive Translation
Dear Church Family, John 3:16-3:17 is a powerful testimony not only to what God is up to through Easter but how and why. I never cease to be amazed at the positivity of it all. Through the events of Holy Week and Easter, through the events of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection, things like death and sin and diminishment are overcome – defeated, vanquished even. Just as importantly, this passage reminds us of the “for-ness” behind it all. The gift of it all, the life of it all, the purpose not that people and the whole world would be condemned but rather that it and we would be saved.
