Pastor Brent Damrow recently returned from a three-month sabbatical.   His time away included many walks in nature:   I was blessed with so many great places to walk – the severe beauty of Big Sur, the rolling openness of Alford, the contrast of mountain and sea in Maine, and the streams flowing through endless acres of national forest in Vermont. I had the chance to experience the heat of Southern California, the slowly relentless change of fall here in the Berkshires, and the fullness of winter storm and wind in the mountains of Vermont. Most of my walks were alone, but many had the gift of family or friends too, and on each of them there was the waving to passing walkers, bikers, or motorists.
