The Breakfast Club—A Book Read with the Pastor

After some strong response from the Easter Sermon, Brent is offering a four-part study on the book that helped shape his message, N. T. Wright’s Simply Good News—Why the Gospel is Good News and What Makes it Good.
Wright is one of the leading Biblical Scholars and Professor of New Testament at the University of St. Andrews. While his insights are keen and deep, his writing style is accessible and engaging. The central theme of his work is that we need to remember that the Gospel stories should be approached as news—things that break into our world and bring about change. This book is great both for those who are looking for an introduction to what the Gospels are all about and for those who want to dive deeper.
Our conversations will be geared toward dialogue—reacting to what Wright has provided and considering how or if such things have a bearing on how we approach our lives. Coffee, tea and pastries will be provided every week, we just need your thoughts and engagement.
The Breakfast Club will meet at 8:00 am on Monday May 15, 22, June 5 and 12. Sign-up sheets are in the JE Room, books are available from the office.
