Music on Main presents Spring Awakening, an afternoon of poetry and song, on Saturday April 13 at 4 pm at The First Congregational Church, 4 Main Street in Stockbridge.

Featured guests are tenor Bernard Holcomb, who is making his debut with the Metropolitan Opera this season, and Emily Kate Gentile, a versatile soprano with many operatic and musical theater credits on her resume and a dedicated champion of new music. Accompanying them will be Hui-Mei (Fimi) Lin, ‘an excellent pianist” according to the NY Times. They will be performing a program of operatic arias and duets, H. Leslie Adams’ “Nightsongs”, Clara Schumann’s “Sechs Lieder” (Six songs) Op. 23, and the premiere of composer Peter Frost’s song cycle “Rival Gardens” from prize-winning poet Connie Wanek’s book.
