Concert: Music for Spring!

The Board of Music, in partnership with artistic adviser Carl Shuster, will present Yevgeny Kutik and Benjamin Luxon in “The Reflected Voice: Music for Violin and Spoken Word.” The concert will feature two works by British composer Richard Pantcheff: To Autumn, featuring British poetry on the theme of autumn, and New England Elegy, with a text by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Board of Trustees Meeting

The Trustees have three main areas of responsibility: Stewardship, Financial Management and planning, and Maintenance of buildings and Grounds. They plan and implement the annual pledge campaign and help develop other fund-raising efforts (such as the Memorial Garden or the Golf Tournament.)  They oversee building budget, income sources and the endowment fund, and are responsible to insure that the Manse and Church facilities are well maintained and can effectively serve the ministries of the Church. Board of Deacons Meeting

The Deacons assist will all aspects of Sunday worship, including set-up, breakdown, provision of supplies, liturgy, ushering and welcoming congregants. Deacons are also involved in all aspects of special worship, such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter and Holy Week. Deacons facilitate involvement of the congregation in various ministries, such as visiting shut-ins, helping with meal-train, card ministry-or other events in the life of the congregation. Berkshire Lyric – Young Singers Concert

Melodious Accord is a chorus made up of auditioned high school aged young women from throughout the Berkshires. They are one of several choruses comprising Berkshire Lyric, founded in 1963 and led by Jack Brown. The 80 voice Berkshire Lyric Chorus will be presenting the Mozart Requiem and music of Brahms at Seiji Ozawa Hall Tanglewood on Sunday May 29.
