Disciple Bible Study

  • Date: Thursday, May 1, 2014
  • Time: All Day

Man reading BibleIn our tradition, we take the Bible seriously. So seriously, in fact, that we dare not always take it literally. But what exactly does that mean? How do we read and understand these ancient texts in the present day? How can we apply them to our lives? And how can reading the Bible help us become better students and followers—disciples—of Jesus?
In this year-long study, we will read the entire Bible from cover to cover, and set about answering these questions and more. Through the lens of solid Biblical scholarship and informed by our own faith journeys, we will wrestle with both cherished stories and texts of terror, look with new eyes at long-held truths, ask questions and seek answers, and discover the richness and beauty at the heart of the still-unfolding story of the people of God.

Two times are offered (the curriculum is the same): Thursday morning (from 10:15 to 11:45) and Thursday evening (from 7:15 to 8:45).

NOTE: The Disciple class is fully subscribed and not open to additional participants at this time. To learn more about future Christian education and formation opportunities, please contact Pastor Brent at 413-298-3137 or
