Conversations with the Congregation

The Personnel Committee invites you to share your thoughts and ideas about the state of our church and the staff who support it. Come share how you experience the ministries of this church, including our worship life, fellowship, formation, service, and more. Your thoughts will help us give feedback to our staff and our lay leaders which will help this church continue to live into our common mission.

Our first “Conversation” was a wonderful gathering with the sharing of diverse ideas, comments, and feelings on many facets of our ministry. We look forward to additional input from each of you, and hope you can join us on July 12th or July 19th. Childcare will be available.

Although we have not had an active Personnel Committee for quite a few years, our Church By-Laws calls for a Committee consisting of the Minister and other Church Members elected at Annual Meeting and appointed by 3 of the Boards. The purpose of the Committee is to oversee the Professional Staff and Officers, and some of the duties include:  review of employment contracts and job descriptions; appraisals and goals; review and recommendation on salaries and benefits.

The input we receive during these “Conversations with the Congregation” will be used by the Committee as we move forward to complete our goals as outlines in the By-Laws.
