Bible Study: “The Prophetic Imagination”

Beginning on April 24, Christian Education is offering a new CE study. We will read Walter Brueggemann’s The Prophetic Imagination.
Brueggemann, a theologian and scholar of the Old Testament, traces the prophetic vision from Moses to Jesus’ ministry. This insightful text spans much of the Old Testament and explores the vision of God and social action as outlined by the prophets that culminated in the ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. As part of this study, group members will also read scriptures (e.g. Exodus, Ecclesiastes, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and the Synoptic Gospels).
The group will meet on Mondays, beginning on April 24, from 7-8:30 for seven weeks of study.
