Our Christian Education program strives to nurture the spiritual growth of individuals of every age, to immerse both children and adults in the love and knowledge of God, especially as revealed through Jesus Christ, and to help them respond in loving mission to the world.
Christian education is a lifelong process. Our curricula emphasize knowledge of the Bible as well as Christian character building.
In Sunday school, students participate in special offerings and mission projects, and occasionally all classes meet together to study special themes, such as Advent, Lent and other subjects involved with worship and Christian life. On Christian Education Sunday, students lead the congregation in worship. Vacation Bible School meets for one week each summer.
Adult Studies include lecture series, Bible and book studies, video series, and discussion groups. Intergenerational events include an Advent celebration, Christmas pageant, Mardi Gras party, and an all-church picnic.
